There’s no such thing as too many content ideas, right? Right. Here are ten evergreen content ideas for food and beverage brands, although they can be modified for other industries as well.
Keep reading until the end (or scroll directly, you do you) for even more post ideas.
Post #1: Carousel of Customer-Fave Recipes
Curate 4-5 of your customer’s favourite recipes featuring your food or beverage. This post can be a regular feature based on seasonal flavours, holidays, or long weekend celebrations.
Bonus points for starting the carousel with an engagement-driving meme. It’ll be saveable AND shareable.
Create a fun starter pack for your community featuring all their favourite things. Include your product, like-minded brands, and pull it together with a seasonal theme.
My client Lake & Oak Tea Co. does these often. It’s a great way to showcase the product, give your customers some shopping inspo, and highlight other small businesses (which increases your reach).
Post #3: Food or Beverage for Different Moods
If you have lots of products to choose from, highlight which food or beverage your customers might choose based on their mood. It’ll be saveable, provide some food and bev inspo, and encourage your customers to try different flavours.
Post #4: Choose Your Friday Night Vibe
Start a poll in the comments with a spin off the “choose your own adventure” book series. Create 2-4 different options, include one of your food or beverage products in each option, include like-minded brands and products to support the vibe, then ask your customers to choose their vibe.
Post #5: 10 Days of [Products]
If you have at least 10 products, you can do a 10 Days of [Product]. Give it a theme, like 10 Days of Pasta Nights, or 10 Days of Sippable Smoothies, and feature one of your products for 10 consecutive days. You can turn this into a fun challenge with your customers or keep it lowkey. The options are endless.
Highlight each unique ingredient inside your product with an easy-to-digest (and saveable!) graphic. Feature the product in the middle and add the ingredients around it, with little arrows pointing to each one. You can add information about each ingredient in the caption or turn this post into a carousel.
Post #7: How To Use [Product]
Whether you’re showing your customers how to make a matcha latte or use your baking mix, there’s a tutorial they’ll appreciate. You can film this for the visual learners, turn it into a graphic or carousel post for easy reference, or add it to the caption of a photo.
Post #8: Bust a Myth About Your Product or Ingredients
There are SO many myths in the food and beverage space. Whether it’s about the ingredients, the packaging, the flavour, or the health benefits, there’s a myth you can bust. You can turn this into a regular series to keep customers coming back.
Post #9: How & Where Customers Enjoy Your Food or Beverage
AKA user generated content. But it’s not just user generated content (which means you don’t have to create it yourself), it’s content that shows your customers how others are enjoying your food or beverage product. User generated content is a form of social proof that says “hey, other people care about this product and you should too!”
Post #10: Collab! Food & Beverage Brands that Make the Perfect Pairing
Collab posts are an efficient way to reach new customers and build relationships with brands in the food and beverage space. You could do a recipe, a graphic, or a lifestyle video that sets the scene for a dinner party, picnic, or an easy dinner at home.
