hi, i'm sarah! 👋🏻

FRAMEWORK FOR CPG SOCIAL MEDIA MARKETING
There’s no such thing as too many Instagram post ideas, especially as a CPG food & beverage brand. The market is competitive and social media is one of the best places to stand out.
Get started today with 11 evergreen ideas. Keep reading until the end for 54 more Instagram post ideas.
Curate 4-5 of your customer’s favorite recipes. This post can be a regular feature based on seasonal flavours, holidays, or long weekend celebrations.
Bonus points for starting the carousel with an engagement-driving meme. It’ll be savable AND shareable. Here’s what I mean.
Create a fun starter pack for featuring your customer’s favorite things. Include your product, like-minded brands, and pull it together with a seasonal theme.
My social media marketing client Lake & Oak Tea Co. does these often. It’s a great way to showcase your food or beverage product, get customers in the mood to shop, and highlight other CPG businesses. They’re very savable and shareable, which increases your Instagram reach.
If you have lots of products to choose from, highlight which food or beverage your customers might choose based on their mood. It’ll be savable, provide CPG food and beverage inspiration, and encourage customers to try different flavors.
Start a poll in the comments with a spin off the “choose your own adventure” book series. Create 2-4 options, include your food or beverage products in each option, include complimentary CPG brands and products to support the vibe, then ask your customers to choose their vibe.
If you have at least 10 products, you can do a 10 Days of [Product]. Give it a theme, like 10 Days of Pasta Nights, or 10 Days of Sippable Smoothies, and feature one of your products for 10 consecutive days. You can turn this into a fun Instagram series or challenge.
Highlight each unique ingredient inside your product with an easy-to-digest (and savable!) graphic. Feature the product in the middle and add the ingredients around it, with little arrows pointing to each one. You can add information about each ingredient in the caption or turn this post into a carousel.
Whether you’re showing your customers how to make a matcha latte or use your baking mix, there is a tutorial they’ll appreciate. You can film this for the visual learners, turn it into a graphic or carousel post for easy reference, or add it to the caption of a photo.
There are so many myths in the CPG food and beverage space. Whether it’s about the ingredients, the packaging, the flavor, or the health benefits, there’s a myth you can bust. You can turn this into a regular Instagram series to keep customers coming back.
AKA user generated content. But it’s not just user generated content (which means you don’t have to create it yourself), it’s content that shows your customers how others are enjoying your food or beverage product. User generated content is a form of social proof that says “hey, other people care about this product and you should too!”
Collaborative Instagram posts are an efficient way to reach new customers and build relationships with complimentary brands. You can share a recipe, a graphic, or a lifestyle video that sets the scene for a dinner party, picnic, or an easy dinner at home.
For CPG food and beverage founders, the biggest social media shift in 2025 was the ever-blurring line between founder and content creator. We’re getting back to the original purpose of social media: to connect with other humans. Which means the CPG brands who put their founder first, not their product, are going to set themselves apart. That’s why I created these hook ideas specifically for CPG food and beverage founders.
